About
Niall Horan was born on 13 September 1993 in Mullingar, Westmeath, Ireland. He is an Irish singer-songwriter. He rose to prominence as a member of the boy band One Direction, formed in 2010 on the singing competition The X Factor. The group released five albums and went on to become one of the best-selling boy bands of all time.
Career
Niall Horan, a popular pop musician, has recently been announced as the latest coach on The Voice. As a former member of the band One Direction, there is much to learn about this talented artist.
Niall Horan hails from County Westmeath and is of Irish heritage. He had a childhood marked by his parents’ divorce. At the age of 16, he tested his luck in the 2010 edition of The X Factor UK. Interestingly, he owes his qualification into the bootcamp to Katy Perry’s intervention.
Following his inability to advance to the next stage of the competition, Horan was grouped with Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson, as determined by the judges. At the time, little did he know that this would mark the start of his remarkable fame as a member of the widely recognized boy band, One Direction, which became exponentially successful.
Personal Life
Growing up, Horan participated in various sports, such as golf, football, and Gaelic football. In the summer of 2010, while playing football with friends, he sustained a knee injury, which led to the diagnosis of having a floating kneecap. This issue persisted over the next couple of years, with a notable occurrence in 2013 when he dislocated his knee onstage during a concert in Antwerp, Belgium.
In January 2014, Horan underwent major reconstructive surgery in the United States, following the conclusion of a tour. Chelsea’s manager, José Mourinho, extended an invitation to Horan to undergo physical therapy with his team at their training ground in Surrey. Horan spent over seven weeks receiving physical therapy from the team’s members and their physical therapist.
As a youngster, he faced difficulties like dealing with asthma and his parents’ divorce. He has an elder sibling named Greg Horan. After the divorce, they stayed with their mother initially but later moved in with their father.
