Jonas Becker, better known by his stage name DJ Katch, is a German DJ, music producer, and songwriter specializing in hip-hop and electronic music. He is best known for his singles The Horns and Lights Out (Too Drunk). He is a resident of Frankfurt.

Career

DJ Katch’s live performance in 2017, His interest in DJing started in his youth when he first saw a live DJ set up at a neighbor friend’s house. He then bought his first DJ equipment, to finance which he also delivered newspapers.

He created numerous productions and remixes for other artists, his own releases, and his involvement in projects such as Die Freund der Sonne with Kool Savas, Illmatic, and DJ Release, which made him famous in the rap and EDM scene. He has performed in more than 40 countries and some of his songs have millions of views on streaming and video platforms such as Spotify and YouTube. His song The Horns was played before the boxing match between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas. The song meanwhile reached 40 million plays on Youtube and more than 20 million streams on Spotify. The music video was uploaded on November 17, 2015, by WePLAY Music and Management.

His solo hit Lights Out (Too Drunk) became a popular hit on Spotify with over 40 million streams. It is also certified platinum in numerous countries, such as Sweden and Norway. Apart from that, Katch also made a musical tribute to in several productions with hip-hop artists such as The Beatnuts, Greg Nice for Bounce (Turn It Up) or his club smash Wild Out with N.O.R.E.

He was resident DJ in Sven Väth’s trendy nightclub “Cocoon” and organizes the party series ‘DJ Katch’s Urbanice’ in the Gibson Club in Frankfurt am Main.
