Tony Button (Button the Busker) was born on October 17th, 1989 in Corning, NY. The quiet country setting he grew up in is often referenced in his lyrics, where he describes a modest upbringing with his dad and dog in their 1969 trailer.

Career & Education

Button the Busker studied Psychology and attended school at the State University of New York at Oswego. He is widely known as a nomadic traveling busker in the United States.

Button dropped out of his last semester of college, 12 credit hours away from obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, to start singing his songs on the street. He began traveling the country and living out of his car at age 22.

After traveling up and down the east coast for several years, he grounded himself in Ocean City, Maryland- where he became a local icon as a busker on the world-famous boardwalk. He was most known for his antics as a living statue- a quirky golden mime who brought smiles and laughter to endless tourists visiting the area every Summer.

Button hit the road and left Ocean City, Maryland in 2021 to further busk the country, living out of his 2016 Honda Civic with his cat Milo. He has made appearances in various places including New York, Asheville, Charleston, Ocean City, Fort Myers Beach, Key West, Nashville, Las Vegas, San Diego, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle.

Personal Life

Button the Busker currently resides in San Francisco, California with his wife Alexandra where he is expecting their first child- a baby boy due to enter the world in October 2023. As of this time, Button primarily focuses his work on social media platforms such as TikTok and Facebook but can still be found busking around the streets of San Francisco.
