    About

Adam Lloyd Johnson (born July 15, 1977) is an American Christian philosopher, theologian, apologist, and author who defends trinitarian metaethics. He was Associate Pastor of Students and Adult Discipleship and Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Outreach at Tega Cay Baptist Church between 2009 and 2017. In 2017, Johnson became a Ratio Christi chapter director, as well as the ministry’s Regional Director over Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and South Dakota. He received his Ph.D. in Theological Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2020. Johnson’s articles have been published in Philosophia Christi. He currently lives in Nebraska with his wife Kristin and their four children.

    Career

Adam Lloyd Johnson worked in actuarial science for ten years between 2001 and 2010. In a video, Johnson describes being called by God into full-time ministry at the age of 30. He became a pastor at a Southern Baptist church in South Carolina for eight years before joining Ratio Christi, a ministry which trains university students and faculty in evangelism and apologetics.

In 2018, Johnson moderated a debate on meta-ethics between William Lane Craig and Erik Wielenberg on “God and Morality: What is the best account of objective moral values and duties?” He then edited a book based on the content of the debate titled A Debate on God and Morality: What is the Best Account of Objective Moral Values and Duties?

In 2022, Adam Lloyd Johnson founded Convincing Proof Ministries, a non-profit organisation which aims to provide historical, scientific, and philosophical reasons to believe that Christianity is true.
