Mara Lejins (born 11 April 1995) is an Australian television quiz personality, known for being one of the “Chasers” on The Chase Australia. Lejins joined as a Chaser in 2022 and is nicknamed “The Smiling Assassin”.
Mara Lejins is so far the youngest-ever Chaser, starting in the role at 27 years old. Lejins started in the trivia world as a contestant on Beat The Chasers in 2021, walking away with $58,000 in winnings. Lejins says her interest in trivia started when she discovered pub trivia while at university, and “appreciated the free meals you could win.”
Mara Lejins graduated from the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of International Relations in 2018. She was admitted as a lawyer in March 2019 and is registered to practice as a solicitor in New South Wales. She is currently studying for her Master’s of Law at Columbia University in New York.
