Career
After graduating, she went on to work in asset raising, business development, and investor relations, where she raised over $100 million for various hedge funds.
In 2018, Sarah Borg Barthet founded Dukes Avenue as a creative outlet. What initially started as a small blog has become a widely read luxury lifestyle online magazine, with content curated to inspire readers to live their best and most fulfilled lives.
As the blog started to gain traction, Sarah left her role in finance to grow her online business full-time.
In addition to writing for Dukes Avenue, Sarah Barthet is also a syndicated freelance writer for the Associated Press (AP), having been featured in The San Francisco Examiner, Fox Yakima 41, and Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal, amongst other national US online publications. Early Life
Sarah Borg Barthet was born on 23 May 1988 in Norwich, Norfolk, in the United Kingdom, to Mark Micallef and Rosalind nee Sell. Her family relocated to Malta when she was six months old.
She enrolled at the University of Malta in 2006, where she pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics, Banking, and Finance. In 2011, she relocated to London, where she continued her studies with a master of science degree in International Finance from the University of Westminster, graduating with Distinction.
Personal Life
Sarah Borg Barthet is married to Simon Borg Barthet, and they have one daughter, Allegra. In her free time, Sarah is an avid fan of fitness, enjoying various sports, including pole fitness, running, weight-lifting, and yoga. In 2016, she ran the London Marathon, raising over £2,000 for the Make a Wish Foundation.
She also enjoys spending time with her two French bulldogs, Luna and Lejla.
