Ritu Kant Ojha, is an Indian entrepreneur, author, and columnist based in Dubai. He authored Real Conversations in Digital Age, focusing on the impact of technology on human social behavior. He contributes columns on leadership, technology, environment, and sustainability in BusinessWorld, and The Indian Express.
Ojha promotes the cause of decarbonization and net zero through the audio content platform, Wild. Since 2020, he runs his podcast, Real Conversations with Ritu Kant.
Early Life and Education
After graduating in economics from Lucknow University, he completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from Jagran Institute of Management & Mass Communication, NOIDA in 2005 and later a one-year general management program from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow in 2013.
Career
In 2010, Ritu Kant Ojha joined The Indian Express as the Assistant Editor and the Editor of the “Express Money” and “Express Estate” pages. He wrote weekly columns and news stories on a wide range of personal finance and entrepreneurship-related topics. One of his stories, published in 2012, detailed the rift between the then Pension Fund Regulatory Development Authority (PFRDA) chief, Yogesh Agarwal, and the Finance Ministry. Agarwal was later unceremoniously relieved from his duties in 2013 and arrested in 2017 in the Vijay Mallya loan default case. Ojha interviewed Congress leader, and then cabinet minister, Kamal Nath in Singapore during a CREDAI conference in 2011 during which Nath, admitted India failed to make progress in land economics. He is quoted by the media on policy, entrepreneurship, and the environment. Accredited as a journalist by EXPO2020, he was invited by the UNFCCC to the COP27 summit at Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.
Ritu Kant Ojha launched his advisory firm Wiyld Carbon in 2013 with offices in India, the United States, and the Middle East.
Ritu Kant Ojha was invited as a speaker to IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bombay, IIM Gaya, COP27, GITEX2022, EXPO2020, and FUTRWorld and has spoken at some of the global entrepreneurship summits. He was mentioned in the Tata Review magazine in the year 2021 for his contribution towards counseling school children.
