    Monica Wright is an American basketball coach and former player who played college basketball for Virginia and currently serves as the assistant general manager for the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA. She was selected second overall by the Minnesota Lynx in the 2010 WNBA draft. Besides, she also played professionally in Poland, Turkey, Australia, South Korea, and Iceland. Her social sites also gained a huge fan following including her Instagram account.

    For the 2010–11 season, Monica played in Poland for Lotos Gdynia. For the 2011–12 season, she played in Turkey for Botaş SK. For the 2012–13 season, she played in Australia for the Dandenong Rangers of the WNBL. Although her 2013-14 season started with Korea for Shinsegae One FX, she left the team in December 2013. signed with the Perth Lynx for the 2016–17 WNBL season on July 14, 2016, but was released by the team on October 19, 2016, due to complications with a long-term knee injury.
