History
Lemon Press was launched in 2020 and is based in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Founded by Ankhbayar Tserenvandan and Zolbayar Enkhbaatar, the outlet began as a weekly newsletter, covering regional and international markets. In addition to providing and analyzing business and finance news, the site aggregates news stories on various subjects.
The site started publishing its daily newsletter in June 2021, and later began producing podcast and video content on personal finance, investment and other related topics in July of the following year.
In 2022, Lemon Press launched Inside Mongolia, a weekly English newsletter covering regional business and finance news for expats living in the country, as well as investors and professionals who are interested in Mongolia. Later that year, Inside Mongolia began partnering with Dow Jones and started distributing content to its Factiva platform.
The outlet’s mission is defined as “to fast forward the development of Mongolian capital markets by promoting public financial literacy”.

In Nov 2022, the company had over 35,000 subscribers and around 150,000 followers on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Lemon Press maintains full editorial control over the content of its publications and gives limited editorial control to its advertisers.
