Cat Ferguson (born 27 April 2006 in Steeton, North Yorkshire) is an English racing cyclist. Cat races for Great Britain on the Road, Track, and in Cyclo-cross. Ferguson started life as a slalom ski racer before switching her attentions to cycle raving aged 12 years old.

Career

Initially, Cat Ferguson started at Cycle Sport Pendle before moving to Storey Racing – Dame Sarah Storey’s race team. As a 1st year Under 16 Ferguson won her 1st National Title, becoming U16 National Female Road Champion in July 2021. In August 2021 Ferguson won her first National Track Title – becoming U16 Madison Champion with her partner Carys Lloyd.

In January 2022 Ferguson completed her cyclocross season undefeated, culminating in winning her 1st National Cyclocross Title in Crawley. 2022 was a stellar year for Ferguson as she went on to retain her National Road Champion Title and in August Ferguson won the National Scratch Title in Newport as well as retaining her Madison Title (once again with Carys Lloyd). Ferguson (selected to represent Team GB) went to Slovakia to compete in the European Youth Olympics (EYOF) in August 2022, winning double Gold – first in the Time Trial and then in the Road Race.

In September 2022 Cat Ferguson moved into the Junior Ranks, selected to represent Team GB as part of their Cyclocross Team, Ferguson finished the CX season winning Silver in the mixed relay World Cyclocross Championships.
