About
Boston Live Magazine is the most complete guide to live music and entertainment in and around the Boston area.
History
Boston Live was Founded in 1995 by Gary Girouard a musician from Lexington Massachusetts (a suburb of Boston.) Gary sold pianos for Steinway and Sons and traded sales for an office on the 5th floor of the famed Steinway building. Upon creating Boston Live as a “guide for live music”, Gary asked Paul Breeden his long-time friend and bandmate growing up in Lexington to assist in getting the magazine started.
In 1998, Paul T. Breeden acquired all rights to Boston Live and has owned it to this date. They began by hosting different concerts around the Boston area. Including rap artist Joe Budden for their kickoff party.
As Boston is a tourist mecca with over 14 million visitors per year, and close to 300,000 college students, Boston Live entertains a diverse array of readers and visitors.
