History
ENvizion Medical was founded in 2017 by Dr. Doron Besser and Shay Tsuker. Dr. Doron Besser is the CEO and President of ENvizion Medical. The company is headquartered in Israel with offices in the USA. In February 2019, ENvizion Medical received FDA 510(k) clearance for its ENvue product. The company began to be publicly traded in In June 2021. In the fall of 2021, ENvizion announced the completion of the development of a unique feeding tube for infants and premature babies.
The ENvue System
ENvizion Medical developed the ENvue System which is an electromagnetic navigation system for the placement of enteral feeding tubes. The ENvue system utilizes several built-in passive sensors, which are activated when entering an electromagnetic field. The system provides a patient’s body contour with real-time position and direction of the feeding tube inside the patient. In addition, the ENvue system alerts the clinician if there is a danger of the feeding tube heading towards the bronchial airways. The system can generate an image mapping of each patient’s anatomy of the airways and upper GI tract in order to trace the feeding tube accurately and avoid misplacement. The ENvue system technology assists clinicians with safe and rapid feeding tube positioning. The ENvue System has been awarded with North American innovation award in 2021.
